This is a picture of Riley a wonderful family pet! The picture was taken of Riley in 2008 at the Occoquan Craft and Art show. The large watercolor painting was painted by my daughter Jen Callahan (Fine Art Artist - watercolor, oil and consignments) just recently again Riley and his family showed up at the Occoquan 2009 Spring Show with his family. Happy ending - Watercolor painting is now hanging in Riley's home.
My interest in photography began in 1968 while living in Hawaii with my wife and three young children. A friend who was a professional photographer sold me his 35mm Ricoh camera when he bought a new camera. I took pictures with the Ricoh and a separate light meter that sometimes didn’t work; and he would critique my photographs. He said that I was a natural but more than that I really loved taking pictures. In 1971 we returned to the mainland, the Washington Metro area. I returned to college and took as many photography courses as I could. I took black and white photos and developed them in the college dark room. Since college I have used my photographic skills in many of my jobs, especially in documentation. Forty years later I shoot exclusively digital. These days I love the "digital darkroom", even in the daylight of my Virginia home studio. My main interests are in making archival fine art prints for people who appreciate my point of view in my photography. Please contact me at tknocksr@comcast.net if you have interest in purchasing any of my photographs or hiring me to take photos of your special events! I enjoy all forms of photography!
